little bit more about our APU houses:
Location
Our two houses are located in Miraflores district,
in Lima City, Peru. Miraflores is Lima's new
downtown, is closer to the ocean, is one of the safest
neighborhoods
and the best for a-night-on-the-town in
Lima.
Houses:
In the house you will find :

Internet Access with a
network in order for you to connect your laptop if
you bring one with you

Washing machine

House cleaning services
ever day

Large common areas like aliving
room, dinner room and patios

A fully equipped kitchen with
microwave, refrigerator, dishes, etc.
Rooms:
Single and double
rooms are offered in both houses. You do not need to bring
anything with you for the room as we supply you with sheets,
blankets, a desk with chair and shelf for your
clothes.
Transportation and Distances:
Miraflores is Lima's heart, and
this
means that it is easy to find transportation to anywhere in
Lima. A bus is only 1 sol (US$0.30, 0.25 euros) to
the majority of destinations.
The average time a peruvian
student takes to travel from their house to their university
is 50 minutes by bus.
Exchange students from APU
student houses to the main universities take:

To Universidad Pacifico: 25
minutes by bus, 10 minutes taking a taxi (US$1.50,
1.10 euro)

To Universidad Catolica: 40
minutes by bus, 15 minutes taking a taxi (US$2,
1.50 euros)

To Universidad de Lima: 40
minutes by bus, 15 minutes taking a taxi (US$2,
1.50 euros)

To Universidad San Ignacio:
45 minutes by bus, 18 minutes taking a taxi (US$2,
1.50 euros)
A lot of people believe that the
best option is to rent a place around the university.
After 6 years working with exchange students, we
realize that Miraflores is the best option for
living, because after school if you want to have
distraction, go for a coffee, or just walk around,
everybody goes to Miraflores. That is the reason why
we are not working with houses in other districts in
Lima. |
